Graham was born in the late 1950’s on the mid-north coast of NSW and grew
up on the central highlands.
After finishing his academic education he progressed onto doing a trade in
gyprock plastering.
He spent his time after that seeking out work and inspiration and using his
trade work as a vehicle to move from his hometown to the coast of southern
Queensland.
Having decided being a tradesman was not his final calling in life, he left
there and went to Sydney seeking other employment.
There, having a number of jobs over some ten years he was able to act upon
his want and return to the country and the life it offered.
Moving eventually to the north coast he spent time constructing a home as
an owner-builder while doing various types of work from gardening to book
keeping.
All this time, all these years, he found there was a need in him to seek expression
by creating. He created a house, then a home. He created a large rainforest
garden and he created some pieces of art, some of which he was able to sell
or alternatively donate.
He is self taught.
Recently online he found himself chatting with another who happened to ask
after his creations. What did he do? Did he have any plans for taking his
produced pieces further?
Although he had only produced using coloured pencil and paper previously he
had at the same time been working on the writing and illustrating of a book
for children. As yet unpublished he had never the less gathered a fairly good
understanding of the general purpose computer drawing program to produce the
drawings needed for the book.
He decided to use the drawing program knowledge gained to replicate some of
his hand drawn pieces into cyberspace as a test and found it went better than
he could have hoped.
Having shown a few worked up pieces online to various friends he came to the
notice of artistshub and ultimately to having some of his work put here now
for public viewing.
The fact is the timing is all very 'right now' in regard to this happening
and he is very pleased and grateful indeed that the opportunity has been extended
to him as it has.
What happens next is not known but to have had the opportunity presented to
him to have some of his work set before the cyber community has been a great
boost to his spirit.
He hopes that other artists find in artistshub.com a vehicle to something
they aspire to and if nothing else then just the opportunity to share their
creation is enough in itself.
Orders are welcome.
Available in postcard to poster size, gloss or matt photographic paper depending.
